Just because I openly and boldly say the Kingdom of God is within me, doesn't mean I know it to be so. You see, this knowing has nothing to do with an intellectual knowing or understanding, but an 'inner' knowing, or realization. To this day, see that so many people claiming to know God or, claiming to have seen God, still lacks to be in God. What is man lacking? Does man lack more knowledge or revelation? Or does man lack a 'knowing' or understanding of the Truth within himself? Mankind is so focused on the idea that within himself is the "Spirit". But let me paint you this picture: you see, mankind's awareness of the Spirit in him still doesn't make him more spiritual. And you know why? It's because man still sees himself apart from spirit. It has nothing to do with us knowing or being aware that the Spirit of "God" dwells within us, but has everything to do with the fact that God's Spirit is the Life of every man that comes into the world. That's the difference! A friend of mine once again reminded me that we don't have an independent human spirit apart from the Spirit of God. Not even Jesus said that His Spirit and the Father's Spirit are two separate spirits. In fact, He said: "the Father and I are One." Let me just repeat that again: There can never be two eternal Spirits. The Lord is One. This is what Jesus wanted the people of His time to know. It was not the mission or the purpose of Jesus to make the people of His time become like God or to be God, but to see God, in the form of His eternal life within themselves and everyone else -- whether they were rich or poor, male or female, slave or free. God's life cannot, could not, and will never be measured according to man's worldly standards. And this is what man attempts to do century after century. But they keep on failing to realize the truth of God within themselves. If God were not our Spirit, we wouldn't even exist. What would be the point? We'd have no life! And besides, isn't God our very Life? our true essence? our very identity? If not God, then who? That's why Jesus said that we need to lose our life that we might find it. What did He mean by this? Did He mean we should die? Certainly not in a human way. But what did He mean? Personally I think He referred to all humanity coming to an inner realisation that there was never any need to hold onto something that could not produce life. And the best option was to see the very Life of God within ourselves. When we do, we would see that the life we hold ourselves to be (generated by our thinking mind) is not who we are -- it has never been who we are; it's always been an illusion. Jesus came to reintroduce man to this "Eternal life" which is the Father, and when man would see this "eternal life" that is the Father, within themselves, they'd see that everything that is an illusion is just another thought man blindly decided to attach themselves to; they would see that this eternal life is not escape from some imaginary afterlife. But the eternal Divine Presence of God within All mankind. This eternal life has it's own beginning and it's own end, and this means that it's a free gift to Self-realization. This "Self-realization is the awareness of the same Oneness that Jesus knew within Himself.
